Creative Surroundings was founded in 1982 by Gloria Gaus. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Plant Science-Horticulture. A natural artist, her love for color sparked the idea of beginning a business based on plant color combinations. Creative Surroundings has grown into a leading professional grounds maintenance and design firm. The type of work we perform provides a wonderful creative outlet and a way to serve others.

 
Creative Surroundings cares about the environment. Each employee is trained to insure proper applications of fertilizers and other plant care products. Gloria Gaus and Kerri Cornine serve on the Show-Me Yards and Neighborhoods advisory committee. The Design and Consultation division is devoted to educating clients and the community about options to garden spaces that are beautiful and well suited for each unique Missouri environment. Some of these services include incorporating native plants into the landscape and water shed friendly gardens or rain gardens. Whether the design is native or non-native ornamentals, our specialists are prepared to offer the best solutions to your landscape needs.
